  • Parade '09 Master Bedroom

The 12' by 16' master exudes elegance by making use of layered drywall. The effect is a collage of stately inset panels. The detail of wall sconce lights matching a grand chandelier makes quite an impression.

  • Parade '09 Master Bedroom

Miracle tried to evoke the sense of a sea-side resort with a foamy sea color palette spashed onto the soaring 12' high ceilings.

  • Parade '09 Master Bedroom

Another view of the television wall.

  • Parade '09 Master Bedroom

A better view of the daylight windows that allow natural light to pass from the main bedroom to the bath and closet areas.

  • Parade '09 Master Bedroom

This detail shows the bed alcove and the gregorious curved arch moulding. Notice the room's music volume and reading light controls are next to the bedside, inside the alcove.

  • Parade '09 Master Bedroom

The overall motif of this bedrooms inset panel design is well balanced. This detail shows how the upper small window allows natural light to pass from great room. Notice the other window(far right) allowing light to pass to the closet and bath areas. These wall panels immitate the bed wall.

  • Parade '09 Master Bedroom

Here's an easier way to make your window look like a boxed window. A double wall was built only below the sill of this window allowing a shelf-sill of maple. Notice the double layered drywall with cut-away inset panel below.

  • Parade '09 Master Closet

A view into the 13' long master closet.

  • Parade '09 Master Closet

See how the window(right) from the adjacent bathroom passes daylight through the closet then puts some of that daylight into the adjacent laundry room via amll awning on the window(left). Notice the handy clothes chute door going into the first floor laundry.

  • Parade '09 Master Bathroom

Miracle's newest idea to increase your hanging space is to build taller ceilings(12' shown here) in the master closet, then hang seasonal clothes up high. The high clothes are easily reached via a simple clothes hook like you see in department stores.

  • Parade '09 Master Bathroom

This 7' long vanity employed a multitude of details. Instead of using taller vanities, shorter ones were built-up with 10” toe kicks. This allows easier reaching to vanity bottoms. The middle drawer unit was ordered taller to give a sense of separation. Notice the Corian® backsplash was put on the entire wall behind the vanity, and then a medicine cabinet was cut into the Corian®/wall. You can get a glimpse of how some floor tiles are actually Corian® to match the vanity.

  • Parade '09 Master Bathroom

This is a view from inside the toilet/shower area. You can see the large obscured glass window is used to pass light through the bathroom and into the adjacent master closet. Because the door is glass paneled, light can pass through this window. Even if the door is kept open.

  • Parade '09 Master Bathroom Library

Employing simple dry walled wall insets and strips of maple here you see the abundant magazine and book space. In the background you can see the custom three-panel door which was fit with ribbed green glass to allow the light to pass through to the toilet area.

  • Parade '09 Master Shower

This 3’ 6” by 6’ long tiled shower has 2 heads(one shown here) and the diamond accent tiles are actually squares of Corian® to match the vanity counter-top.

  • Parade '09 Looking down the basement stairs

Notice the optional chair lift on left and stone wall at bottom of stairs.

  • Parade '09 Basement

Looking up from the base of the stairs, this staircase was built extra-wide to 4’. This allows double passage paths as well as room for a possible chair lift. The sweeping curved wall directs the natural path/view to the right as to highlight a piano stage. The curved stair board skirt is actually drywall and the handrail is a bendable wood-look rubber.

  • Parade '09 Basement

This quarry rock wall is a focal point at the bottom of the basement stairs. The lighting creates textured shadows that intrigue visitors as the come down the staircase. You can see the arcade room to the left (future exercise room), the bedroom hallway and a nice built-in cabinet niche to the far right.

  • Parade '09 Basement

The basement bath shows off its highly styled (heat bent) Corian® counter and vanity. Using Corian’s newest private collection varied pattern, this bathroom has no cabinets. The drain access is via an adjacent room closet. The floor really “pops” with inexpensive solid sheet vinyl incorporated with curved carpet that continues from the hall. The track lighting (not shown here) is curved to match the counter.

  • Parade '09 Basement

A second view of the basement guest room shows the backside of the curved/circular piano platform. This curved wall was painted an accent color gold to stand out (as was the opposite bed wall). Here you see a glimpse of the walk-in closet with its burnt orange 2 panel door.

  • Parade '09 Basement

The basement guest bedroom is immediately off the privacy hall, adjacent to the bathroom. Notice the built-in hall linen cabinet and the sunken wall area set for a wall television.

  • Parade '09 Basement

Yet a third view of the circular raised piano/table area shows how the curved drywall rails were fashioned of drywall with maple tops. Notice how the curved maple base boards (by carpet) were bent by first wrapping this wood in wet towels to allow bend-ability.

  • Parade '09 Basement

Another view of the raised circular piano/table platform. The 4’ diameter molded dome was made possibly by boxing out the main floor’s framing trusses. The trusses were all 2x12 with this dome are being engineered 2x4 constructed. The tin ceiling was built-into custom curved maple wall frames, and instruments were painted black and lighted.

  • Parade '09 Basement

Near the bar, this 9’ circular platform was built 3 steps up from the floor. Each step was floor lighted (see one wall light by step). Miracle wanted to show how much drama was possible using a common 8’ high basement. The player piano area is actually meant for a table. The risers allow guests to see over bar guests to the theater.

  • Parade '09 Basement Bar

Notice how using lighting management ideas, the screen area was able to be kept dark, yet details (fiber optic colored rope light and the illuminated wall art) remain fully lighted.

  • Parade '09 Basement Bar

Instead of just using a straight, angled or curved bar, this bar has 2” bumped-out areas to allow patrons to better converse or play cards. Mini chandeliers have over each bump-out area.

  • Parade '09 Basement Bar

A view from behind the bar looking towards Miracle’s unique triple-screen theater. Notice how refrigerators were concealed below the counters to give the back-bar area a cleaner look.

  • Parade '09 Basement Bar

The idea was to show that details and drama do not have to always mean using expensive materials. Here you see the fancy round “wood” floor was accomplished using wood-look inexpensive vinyl flooring. The vinyl sheet goods were cut into pie shapes.

  • Parade '09 Basement

Another view from behind the bar.

  • Parade '09 Basement Bar

The curved shape allows all 12 bar seats to view the theater without having the neighboring “stool” patron blocking the screen’s view. The 2 round Corian® centers were under lighted with orange and red spotlights. The Coarian® is translucent.

  • Parade '09 Basement Bar

This arrangement had 2 patio doors. One set was placed behind the bar to allow direct access to an outside patio grill area (for quick and unobstructed food transferring).

  • Parade '09 Basement

The tri-screen (the means 3 9’ 6” wide by 5’ 3” tall screens) form one gigantic 29’ 6” long image that literally surrounds the audience giving a virtual feeling of being put into the scene. If you look close under the right screen (they don’t show well here), magical fireflies dance haphazardly for effect.

  • Parade '09 Basement

The tri-screen theater using extra built-in ceiling lights. The screen image is still apparent despite being in fuller light.

  • Parade '09 Basement

Here you see the tri-screen theater using some medium lighting via the extra ceiling lights. To create ambience during a gathering, this is ideal.

  • Parade '09 Basement

The tri-screen can transport you to woods, seaside, into the city, onto a roller coaster, or just about anywhere you can imagine.
